Try to use some cache plugin e.t. WP Super Cache. You can also use this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/bwp-minify/ to minify your CSS and JS.

Your page size is 4.5 MB, original instyle demo website size is around 1MB, so you should definitely use bigger compression of your homepage images.

Did you use bigger compression for your images? It's better, but 4MB is still too much I think.

the pictures are more compression compressed.
