Still images on subpages

Hi, I have the slideshow on the frontpage, and would like to have single/still images in the background just like in the Game demo page. How do I do that?

I guess there are few solutions... one of them will be using this same module (slideshow) but with one slide only.

second using a Custom HTML module with image inside, published on this same position, but probably it request few small CSS changes.
