Hi,
I'm new to using Wordpress. Are there step-by-step instructions on how to set this site up properly?

Hello,

If you are new and it's your new website - the best option for you is the Quickstart package which allow to match the demo layout and content exactly; this is a full WordPress installation that installs WordPress, the theme, plugins, widgets and demo content to match our demo. Then you can start to change widget settings, add your own content etc.
