Subcategory list not showing

Hi All,

I have an issue with displaying a list of my subcategories under a category link which is located in the main menu:

Main menu
- Category 1
- Category 2
-- Subcategory 1
-- Subcategory 2

What I want is that a list of subcategories is shown when I click on the link of menu item named 'Category 2' without showing the items under the subcategories. I have set the options 'Catalog mode' and 'Sub-category blocks' to resp. "Yes" and "Show" but now matter what I try the subcategory list remains empty. I think this is really weird since it should be standard functionality. Are there any other settings I have to consider beside the two mentioned above?

I am using Joomla! v3.3.3 and K2 v2.6.8.

Could you check whether the same happen on default Joomla! template like Prostar? If yes it means that this is K2 issue and you should contact with K2 support because K2 as other 3rd party extensions is beyond our support.

Actually I already got it to work. I re-created all categories and items from scratch. There was probably some kind of inheriting issue...
