Hi, I am experiencing double content display on every post. The entire post is doubled, the frontend looks like this:

Code: Select all
<section id="gk-mainbody">
<article id="post-2707" class="post-2707 post type-post status-publish format-standard has-post-thumbnail hentry category-test gk-has-aside has-featured-image">
<header>
<div class="gk-article-wrap">
<aside id="gk-social-aside">
<div class="gk-article-body">
<figure class="featured-image">
<section class="content">
<div class="gk-related-posts">
<div class="gk-author-posts">
</div>
</div>
</article>
<article id="post-2707" class="post-2707 post type-post status-publish format-standard has-post-thumbnail hentry category-test gk-has-aside has-featured-image">
<header>
<div class="gk-article-wrap">
<aside id="gk-social-aside">
<div class="gk-article-body">
<figure class="featured-image">
<section class="content">
<div class="gk-related-posts">
<div class="gk-author-posts">
</div>
</div>
</article>
</section>

I found similar topics in the joomla forum, it appears to be somekind of problem with the cashe. Can you please advice how to fix this?

Also no settings apply to the "related posts" and "more of this author" areas. I change the layout, I switch them on and off .. but nothing changes.

As you can see from the snippet - entire section with the post - header, share buttons, featured image, content, related posts and posts from same author are doubled.

And the featured image for some reason is with size of 120x106px, stretched by force on 100%.

When I switch to twentyfourteen everything is perfect - the featured image is in the original size, and the content is not doubled.

Thanx!

Hi

Ok. It was not the issue I was thinking about. My other suspect is cache. Please send me an access to admin panel.

Hi

Sorry, but still no luck. We cannot log to your wp-admin panel. I've checked with other programmer but we both have this message while trying to log in: "ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress."

Please make this work. This problem (as the one from thread) may be caused by outdated wordpress version.

Hi

We cannot discover a source of a problem, but we have noticed one thing. While making a dump Your site shows a lot of "deprecated" warnings, this in fact is not much to worry about, but we have compared it with clean WP installation and there is no such messages there. This may indicate that the WP installation is outdated or some of the files are broken. We would advice to make a backup of Your site and than try to overwrite the WP files with the ones from clean installation to be sure You are using the latest. If this will work than double content issue should be fixed along with it.

Also try a test and see if douple content shows when "Twenty Thirteen" template is set as default.

Hi

Thanks for that. I got Your mail and send it to WP programmer. I've done some research on my own and I do not see anything in PHP which would duplicate content. I suspect there have to be a javascript duplicating already created content. Hopefully Piotr will be able to tell something more.

Hi

Ok. Looks like Piotr has found what is causing the problem. The doubled content is showing from related articles from the same user, but obviously it's not working correctly. Please go to template options, than in features tab disable "show related articles" and "show articles from this author". This will eliminate the issue, but if You need to show related articles or articles from this author than I wll have to send it back to Piotr, since He told me that Your website is the only one he saw a problem like this. Please just let me know if this solution is enought.
