I'm not sure which image do you mean, but on the frontpage prabably it's News Show Pro widget, you have to find this widget on proper widget area and change image dimensions - > "article layout" tab.

Could you please provide me with a URL to your website, either here or via PM (click the “Private Message” text underneath my avatar) so that I may analyze it? or send a screenshot with this image marked.

Please check your e.g Banner Left widget area and change settings of your News Show Pro widget. - Article layout tab - change image dimensions to e.g. 490 x 370px, now you have default image dimensions - 160px x 120px and images are stretched (low resolution).
