Hello,

I am installing Storefront quick install package and it doesn't work for me, Joomla install hangs at the end and gives no error description.

I'm checking sql database from my hosting backend and it stays completely empty. I have tried manually importing sql data (with certain edits naturally) but Joomla just doesn't connect once the Joomla installer has completed its task. Meanwhile I have created new databases to MySQL and tried installation multiple times on different databases. Nothing gets imported by installer. I also did sanity check by installing another quick installer template and it works as expected.

Can it be a problem with Storefront Quick Install package? Has anyone else encountered similar? What info you need to look into this?

Attached image shows the exact moment when installer hangs and goes back to the preview screen of settings as I would have not pressed the install button at all...

Found it! Raising memory size to 64MB in php.ini did it for me! Thanks!

Please help? As 1.5 hours playing around now, and have done the above link before posting.

Here is php.ini file

memory_limit = 128M
magic_quotes_gpc = Off
extension=pdo.so
extension=pdo_mysql.so
upload_max_filesize = 10M
post_max_size = 10M
display_errors = Off
max_execution_time = 240

I also need to ask? WHY? You need Errors Off please, as Joomla does not?

Thanks in advance,

Dylan

Hi

Joomla advice to have errors off since users can use multiple modules joomla has no control over becuase were implemented by different developers.

Please send me all details I'll need to check the installation process.
