Several Problems

Joomla webshop template with CSS3-based animations, VirtueMart support and one-page checkout.

Dear sir,
i have several problems with the template. (J2.5.28 , VM 2.6.6 and Storefront Gavern 3.17, server PHP 5.3.28)

Before the template update i had problems with the recaptcha.

I updated the template and the VM does not work at all.
First page and k2 items are OK but when i go in to the shop the problems are obvious

and product details are not loading at all.

Furthermore i have (and had before the update) huge error_log file (137MB), you can see a small sample in the attached file

Could you please help me?

Hi

This template version was made to run with newest VM, so You should update is as well.

Recaptcha can be fixed by installing the latest version of GK Contact plugin from rest_files package.

You have forgot to attach the file so I'm not able to tell what is causing error file to grow so big.

i did't see anywhere to mention the compatibility of the template.

I update to the latest VM2 but the problem persist
and i UPGRADE to vm3 and the site does not load at all.
(i did it to another copy of the site http://www.pdpnet.eu/eldar)

Now the problems are bigger.
first of all, how do i DOWNGRADE the template version?

i'll try to upload again a small version of error file

Also the GK contact plugin isn't in the J2.5 rest files but in the J3 rest files.
Is it OK?

I restore the site to the previews way (before any update)

The main problems (as i first mention) are:

1. When someone tries to create account from the cart the recaptca is always wrong (even if i disable it)
I install th gk contact fro the rest files of j3 (i have j2.5) but nothing changes

2. The errors_log that i uploaded (it grows rapidly every time i get in the VM)

Hi

We try to keep our templates to be up to date with other extensions used. When VM released a newer version of their product we naturally updated template to work with it. Sorry that this caused problems for users decided to use old versions of it.

When You update VM also modules needs to be updated. This is most probably why a blank page appeared.

A fix in gk_contact plugin was only needed to use with joomla 3 version because this joomla is using recaptcha in version 2.

I've checked error log and looks like it's registering the smallest things possible. Most of joomla extensions were developed over years and programming standards has changes since than. At the moment most of old programming syntax is throwing a notice "Undefined property" or "Undefined variable". While not defining values was not considered as an issue couple of years ago. You should ask Your hosting provider to lower the level of registering errors.

Please send me an access to joomla panel so I'll check settings for recaptcha.

I've send you in pm the login credentials.

About the errors problems, i put a copy of the site, to a totally different server,
in that server i also have J2.5 and VM2 installed e-shops, without errors.

but the errors are still going on, take a look, are you sure there is the server settings?

(tottaly different provider, same errors)

Some users are using old version for other compatibility issues, i believe that the best practice from your company is to mention each version to which joomla-VM version is compatible. We can't always update-upgrade to newer version

Hi

I never said it's because of server configuration, but a PHP version used while creating it when elements like the one "Undefined variable" was not showing, because not defining variables was allowed. In newer PHP it works ok, have no impact on wite work, but a message is displayed. When You update VM most of this problems should be gone or ask hosting provider to lower the level of errors to store.

Hi

I cannot pass the checkout process because of a language barrier. Can You record a video or show on screenshots the problem with registering ?

Try do this while site is as now and than change template to default joomla one, beez20 or other. It's just to check if problem is in our template ir in VM itself.

I changed the template to the default beez20 and the registration was OK, it passed the captcha

When i put it back to storefront it can't pass the captcha.

I've already send you the credentials to login to backend (some days ago), please when you try to login select the English language and change the site language for the backend to do your test.

Steps when the problem occurs
1. Select any product
2. Go to cart
3. Select to register
4. Can't pass the captcha

Hi

Please rename /html/com_virtuemart/cart to /html/com_virtuemart/_cart and check if it works than.
