Remove Hikashop??

I am setting up a new web site using the Storefront theme because I like the look, but it's not a retail site, it's more of a blog. I attempted to remove Hikashop to try to slim down the installation, and it broke the site (sorry, I don't have the exact error that is displayed because I'm on a different computer now).

Is there a way to remove Hikashop without causing a fatal error?

If You have removed hikashop than I believe some of the modules are still configured to show it's content. There is no other way than to edit each one of them and change source option to a content You are using. Start with News Show Pro GK5 modules.
