Modifying Login Pop Up Window

Hello,

How do I remove 'Create Article' and 'Submit a Web link' buttons from the pop up login window?

Or limit their visibility to admins / authors only.

These thing are not necessary for a regular customer and just make confusion as lead to 404 page.
'Edit profile' link is pretty much useless too. It would be nice if it were possible to edit address in there.

Also how can I set United States as default country ( Now it is Poland) in the address fields when set new customer's address?
