Problem using Storefront QuickStart

Greetings I have been trying to get the Storefront template working on a clean database using the Quickstart option but keep running into problems.
From start: upload Storefront Quickstart files, add a php5.ini file to turn off magic quotes.
Run through the installation. Everything seems to go well.
Open Administrator panel and upgrade to Joomla 3.6.2 and upgrade Virtumart
However...
When I go to the site the ImageShow module does not load into the header position, just a spinning circle icon.
Also, when trying to go to hikashop or other links I only get "No input file specified."
When I go to the ImageShow module the menu assignment menu formatting is all messed up.

So I get the main page showing, but not loading properly, with links that do not work.

Using PHP 5.5
Are others having this issue?

UPDATE:
Turned off Search Engine Friendly URLs in Config. This seems to have helped links. somethings are working.
BUT, SEO friendly URLs are something I need for search engines.

Update 2: Made htaccess.txt file into .htaccess, turned on SEO Friendly and URL rewriting options. Seems to be working.

BUT Still having problem with Module Menu assignment menu.
