Hi
If I look at demo page, then when using search from 'search' position and search for e.g. 'shoe', the search resultpage is a nice show of VM products. How is this achieved and how can I achieve this when using HikaShop, not VM?
I my site, when using the template search I just end up on Joomla article style search resultpage.
Regards,
Henrik

Hi

You need to replace VM search module with Hikashop search module. Style should be included already.

I'm missing something and can't find out what.
I have searched all over the Internet and tried to follow HikaShop guides for search module and filters. But stil, when using the search, I end up on the Joomla "article" search alike page. I don't end up on HikaShop products list page, with filter from search input.

Hi

I cannot see hikashop has a separate layout for search results and honestly I cannot find a way to go pass the regular joomla search. I was expecting this will be provided. Can You tell me what they have adviced? I'm gonna ask our programmers if they know a way.

Hi

Just as I thought. Programmers has replied that hikashop doesn't have it's own layout for search results and it's using joomla search functionality. This means that there is no code to pick all the details as pictures, prices, etc. Can be added, but it's a bigger customisation job and I'm afraid we do not support that.

Hi
Yes, it toke me several days to find out that and understand how HikaShop works.
I managed to get Universal AJAX Live Search to extend their module to support Hikashop. He need to add the support of a HikaShop Filter landing page with a menuitemID. So what I did was, add a new HikaShop Filter of texttype and add a Hikashop Filter module on all pages. So now, when you search on top of my page, you end up at menuitemID 797 which filter on your search word.

It's not all complete yet, it still need some small ajustments. But I will post a guide for others, when it's stable, so that they don't need to spend as much time as I did :)
