finish the order takes more than 30 seconds

hello,

My web had joomla 3.6.2 and upgrade to 3.6.4
VM 3.0.16

The website works well. But when I click the button to complete my order, it takes more than 30 seconds to display the message Your request has been submitted.

It takes so that users think that does not work anywhere.

Could you help me?
regards

Could you please provide me with a URL to your website, either here or via PM (click the “Private Message” text underneath my avatar) so that I may analyze it? It is a lot easier for us to diagnose issues when we have a live site to examine.

Hi

Looks like one of the vm plugins is prelonging "keepalive" script. Just to be 100% sure change template to Protostar and see if it will happen again. If yes, rename /html/com_virtuemart to /html/_com_virtuemart to test it again. I need to figure out where this problem is coming from.

Hello,

I switched to the "Protostar" template and made the same error. Then change / html / com_virtuemart to / html / _com_virtuemart and also make the same error.

Could it be that the delay has to do with sending the order by email? That the web takes a long time waiting for the email to be sent?

Now I configure it with smpt in the global configuration of joomla and reduces the time to approximately 15 sec. Equally is a lot.

Hi

This looks more to be a problem accessing some functions. Mail function is possibly one of them. Anyway it looks like some extension may be outdated. Try update everything, this may help. You can also ask Your hosting provider to check which function is involved here. I'm afraid that's as much as I can help. It's not related with our products so I really do not know where to point You, sorry.

Hi

Is rare. Now install the kickstart and do the same. And it's all up to date.

It is at http://www.produ-ser.com.ar/storefront/

Do you have any idea that I could check on the server?

Hi

Best would be to ask hosting provider for error log or if You have an access to it already check what errors are being generated during this 30s. This could give some idea what is wrong.

Try also set SMTP in joomla global settings. I think as default vm is using mail() function which is really old and not fully supported on most servers.

Also I think that during completion of order vm is creating order report/invoice in pdf format. This may be a cause of it as well. Check if all pdf libraries are installed and up to date.

Try also checking on vm forum.
