Language string

Hi, i am using storefront on wordpress.
How can i change the language of storefront? I mean, for example in the header, the "popup cart", is telling "1 item - € .."
I edit header.php in order to change this "item" word but this not afflict, what i have to change in order to do that?

Hi, i created it_IT file but the "item" text translation is not write there.
I also edited translation of StoreFront/gavern/wc-functions.php file but i have still "item"
