shortcode related posts

I am wanting to add 3 paragraphs of text to all my product descriptions in woo commerce. I am thinking that a short code would be a good way to do it. I tried the shortcode related post with the default tag '5' and added the tag to a post but it didn't work - also i check that no other post(s) had '5' as a tag. I am assuming that the related post shortcode is just a list of posts, but i want to have 3 paragraphs displayed in my product description (not a link to post). Therefore if i update the content of the paragraph this will update all product descriptions that have the shortcode.
