You are asking about our support or how many lines of code you can insert into Custom CSS field in template settings?

If 1) In most cases few lines, of course we do not build for you whole new website.
You should use Firebug or similar tools to check css class'es etc.
We also have guides also about customization.

If 2) It's better to use override.css, where is no limit
