Top menu problems

I have a site which will be translated into 8 languages. The problem I am having is that the top menu, is in exactly the same place as the original templateand will not go away even when I delete the module. Now there is no module, and yet the menu insists on appearing. Am i missing something?

Just seen that there is a menu option in the template. So i will need a template for each language, and specify the menu there.

Yes, that's the exact solution. The other way to make it is with Falang component and translating same menu over and over for all languages. There is a third way but for 8 languages I will not even gonna mention that
