Multilanguage site and Main Menu Selector

Hello, I got a site in 2 languages. The main languages being english.

Now that I've installed JA Multilanguage, the Menu doesn't appear for the secondary language. I know the main menu selector is at the template option level.

I was hoping for a solution for this.

Hi

I'm sorry but I do not know what "JA Multilanguage" is ;/ So I cannot tell how it affects our menu. I can only suspect that translating a framework build in menu will not work since it's not picking up values as standard joomla modules does.

OK I understand. Thank you Teitbite.

Is there any way I can convert your framework built in menu into 2 modules, one for english, one for another language?

What do you usually do for a multilingual site with a GK template? I am probably not the first user to have a problem with the translation of these GK framework built in menu.

Thank you,

Hi

It's simple. Just make a copy of template style for every language. And in each of this copies select the language it should work with and menu made for this language.

Hi Teitbite, I duplicated the template style but I can only associate the language preference to the copy of the template style. The original remains set to "default" and no language can be associated to it.

Could you have a look at my backend?

Maybe there is something I don't understand.

Hi

Everything looks to be correct. A default template style will work with all languages, but that it will be replaced with style copy attached to other languages. So basically default template style will only work with default site language.

OK It worked. I just needed to assign the template menu on the backend.

Thank you

Hi

Only settings from style copy, so overrides from Custom CSS field. All the files are the same for all styles.
