Print, Email, Edit

Hi
We are using the University template and when we login to the front end as a super user we see the print, email and edit icons.
We don't need the print and email icons but if we hide them using css we still have the comma's.
We also tried disabling them on the menu options tab for the relevant article but if we switch the print and email options off we lose the edit icon.

How would we remove the print and email icons but leave the edit button visible?

Any help would really be appreciated
