Make events like in Event Manager Template using K2

Instead of using complex, expensive event-management extensions, I'd like to implement modified K2 (like in Event Manager Template) to include it in steakhouse template to be able to make events.
Where can I find modified K2?

Our modified version of K2 is available in the html/com_k2 directory in the Events template. I suggest to install the Events quickstart for seeing how we have configured the K2 Extra fields.

You suggested to install the Events quickstart only for seeing how it configured K2 Extra fields. How can I implement "your K2" into steak template? Do I need to install "your K2"? Or only configure existing K2 inside steak template?

The Events template has custom K2 category and item templates which uses extra fields, so using of the K2 override files is necessary to reproduce the Events template features.
