Recaptcha - ok on the front page module not into contacts

hi people, my problem is:
recatcha plugin enabled, public and private keys embedded in plugin config.
When I get to the bottom of the front page, I can see the recaptcha window, but if I get to the contact form (by right menu) the captcha windows is not visible, nonetheless the string suggesting to complile the captcha is present with his asterisc.
The module in the bottom of the front page is assigned only to the home page, it's not visible when I see the contac page, so I don't think it's a double captcha conflict on the same page.
The problem persist even if I disable the module in bottom position.
The contac form won't show the captha.
I've spent many hours trying to solve with no luck. Maybe you have something to suggest.

joomla 3.3.4 - no update required - web site under develop - italian language - some css customization.

Thank you for any possible support, have a nice time, Roberto :)

Hi

You cannot use more than 1 re-captcha on one page, Google doesn't allow that. You will need to separate this forms somehow to different pages.

I am also experiencing this issue.
The captcha is enabled and works fine on the location module of the homepage, however on the contact page all I see are the words 'captcha*' - but no recaptcha box is visible. There a no other instances of recaptcha published on the contact page.

I can see a number of users with this issue - but no replies with any type of fix.

Hello! Same issue here.

Hi everybody,

I also have same recaptcha problems on several websites using Gavick Template. It works perfectly on the front page module but it's not displayed on the contact form page, as well as for k2 comments.
Hope it will be solved in a short time.

Hi,

I will test it today and will get back to you. If it works, will you apply the fix to the other templates (I've the same issue with MSocial and John) ?

Thank you

Hello,

I updated the template, but I didn't succeed in displaying the recaptcha on the frontpage module as well as in the contact page.
For the frontpage module, in the source code, I have this tag: <div id="dynamic_recaptcha_1"></div> but empty, as well as the tag of the contact page: <div id="jform_captcha" class=" required"></div>

Hi. Updated my template (steakhouse), but unfortunately did not fix the captcha issue on the contact page (still shows fine on the homepage).

Hi,

It didn't work for me either. I updated the following files as advised:

- css/joomla.css
- js/gk.scripts.js
- language/en-GB.tpl_gk_creativity.ini
- layouts/blocks/footer.php
- layouts/blocks/head.php
- layouts/blocks/social.php
- layouts/default.php
- lib/framework/helper.layout.php
- lib/framework/helper.social.php
- templateDetails.xml

Using Creativity template.

Hi

Looks like API for captcha changed again since the last update ;/ Let's wait a little longer for the joomla to release fixed plugin so we will be able to adjust our.

Hi, I'm just wondering if the GK Contact plugin has been updated to work with the new recaptcha from google yet? We're getting a fair bit of spam using the current GK Contact form with the old recaptcha plugin enabled and are hoping the new version might help decrease this (using the steakhouse template on joomla 3).

Hi

I think joomla updated it already. Since there were no new reports of this problem and I've also helped on pages where it was working correctly. Please send me an access to joomla panel so I'll check.

Hi

They replied that plugin is fixed and is included in rest_files package for template. So I'm guessing You have not tried to update it or there is another problem with that. So please tell me if You have already upgraded plg_system_gkcontact plugin and if no than try it and if this will still not work than I will need an access to ftp.

Update: I did update all the plugins (which I think have nothing to do with the joomla contact page) and I also updated joomla to 3.4 beta 2. No luck, captcha is still now showing, it only shows me Captcha* and then nothing below it.

Hi

I've checked Your site and this looks to be joomla related. I've switch template to the default joomla one, disabled plugins for gk_contact and such and there is no difference. Captcha is still not working. Please check captcha settings and try to update catpcha plugin.

Even RC 3.4 hasn't fix this. On my other Gavick templates it works...

I am now thinking this might be a template problem after all.

Hi

There is an easy way to check if it's a template related. You just need to switch to a default joomla template. Problem happens because of changes in captcha api code. I've already seen plugins called New Captcha, like this one here: https://techjoomla.com/downloads/recaptcha-1-0-0/ So I suspect that an API KEY is generated for new version right now, but if someone has generated it before this version than it still works.

Hi

No solution to that yet since it looks to be coming from joomla itself. But one of the users has noticed that it happens if more than one recaptcha is activated. For example if You need recaptcha in contact than You need to remove it in K2 comment section. Please try it to confirm if this can be used as a temporary solution.

Hi

In K2 there is no plugin for re-captcha, just settings in K2 parameters. Please check if it's disabled. What joomla version are You using ?

Hi,

I still have this problem and it's not related to Joomla! itself (I don't have this issue on websites using other templates). The new recaptcha works well on the frontpage of my 2 websites using steakhouse but they are not displayed on the contact pages using the com_contact. K2 comments are not activated. Would be great to have a solution to be able to activate the recaptcha.

Thanks in advance

Hi

Your serve has a cache enabled so I cannot really check anything there. Even removing template files to check if site will react has not show any effect, so I still cannot tell anything new about recaptcha, but in my localhost I'm not even able to configure it for clean joomla installation, so there must be something wrong in recaptcha plugin or joomla contact. I'm afraid this will never be fixed since joomla 2.5 is unsupported from beginning of this year. The only way is to migrate to joomla 3.4.
