How to change background in the header

Can someone please tell me ASAP how to change a background in the first page (header) and blog are.

I found where to change background picture - I don't know if that is corrrect way but I found in template.css a link where I could insert a path to a image I would like to have as background. But as soon as i have done that all the header possition is white !!!!! I don't know what is going on ... I have done a lot of joomla's pages but this one is really messed up ... also I have tried to change something in the header section and I used an editor and when I pressed save button all icons were gone, background was smaller - what is going on with that template.

Please help - because I am in a hurry !!!!

The original header background image is placed here:
templates/gk_steakhouse/images/header_bg.jpg
simply replacing the image should be the easiest way.
You have modified the css and now it points to:
templates/gk_steakhouse/images/demo/header_bg.jpg
which simply doesn't exist.

do I have to change that in template.css
Because I have uploaded my picture on server and put this line in template.css (line 203)
/images/Prva_Stran/Glavna_slika.jpg

And the background is still white !!! But picture exists

Where exactely do I have to go to change the background - is template.css wright way or it is somewhere else???

Please replace the original image that I have pointed and bring back original css.

on my computer picture is bigger (heigher) than on web page (here on web page is cuted on the bottom).

It is attached to the top of the browser and centered horizontally. Depending on browser aspect ration it will display differently - this is just how (rwd) backgrounds in css works.
