problem on android tablet

Hi,

I have tried my work with the Steakhouse template on a tablet (Pantalla 10.1 Android 4.0).
As you can see on the attached screenshots, the navigaton menu and the small logo don't appear, instead of the logo, there is the logo text (Screenshot_my_site.jpg). The same happens with the demo template on Gavick website (Screenshot_demo.jpg).

(No problem with menu and logo on the same tablet with template John).

I have no other Android devices. The problem can't be because of my customisation, but it happens also with the demo on Gavick's website. Shouldn't the template work on all devices, as for example "John"?
Do you have any solution?

I will try to analyze this issue, but it will take a time, because the Android fragmentation is very big and in some Android devices all is ok, when on other not.

I just tried it on Huawei phone (I think with a newer version of android), the main menu and the logo don't appear. In the right upper corner you can find (but not see because it's white on white background) a link, but you get only the "X" to close the menu.

I hope you have a solution. The website is nearly ready, and I have to show it to my clients before monday...

Would you tell me, please, on which android devices and versions you have tested it without getting these problems?

I couldn't take a screen shot. Android version is 4.4.2 from spring last year.

Please check if on the Chrome browser the issue appears on your android devices.

I can't check it at the moment, as soon as possible I will. Don't you have the possibility to check the templates on all devices?

Did you analyze the issue, as you wrote?
What is the result? On which Android devices all is ok, and on which not?

It would be important for me to solve this problem. I could move the date with my client on thursday, but then like in a few days the website should be public, and it would embarassing if someone would complain about problems.

I think it should be important for you, too, that the template works on all devices.

I'm still analyzing this issue - I saw a similar problem on Android 4.2 with off-canvas menu area and the close button and on Android 4.0 with the topbar of menu. In example on Nexus 5 (Android 5), Samsung Galaxy S5 (Android 4.4) all is working fine - the problem appears only in older versions of the Android. I will try to do my best, but fixing this issue will take a lot of time, as there is a big fragmentation in Android devices and I can only test this issue through the device emulator on Browser Stack service.

BTW it seems that you have an issue on Android 4.4.2 which I have on Android 4.2 - on S5 with Android 4.4 there is no similar issue, what makes this issue more complex to investigate.

I don't know how to help, I'm not too much into programming, that's why I purchase templates... I have no idea why your other templates (at least the ones I tried because I will use them soon) have o problems on the devices I have tried them on, and with this on there are problems.
I can only hope that you can fix this soon, also because the template is very nice for restaurants and also, as in my case, for guest houses ect.

It take long time, because I was very busy and also the problem is non-trivial. Now I think that I have an almost ready solution - it needs few small fixes in some cases, but after testing in Android 2.3-4.4 I see that it should works fine.

Please replace the attached files in your page (please backup the old ones) and please report me if it is working on your devices.

I'm still working on improvements and I hope that in the next update all will work fine with Android
