Insert a * .pdf

Good afternoon, as I can insert a * .pdf document in an article ?. I installed various plugins (phoca, aris and emdpdf) but none is shown. I se-lected any editor in the control panel, but the * .pdf file is not shown. What I have copied the correct path and points to this file, but does not work.

Does it work with default Beeze / Protostar template?

Good afternoon, first sorry for responding so late, I've been on vacation . Not if the two templates that tell me they default to insert a PDF document. I need it in the "steakhouse" template. I want to insert a pdf into single page template, but not inserted and does not display the file. Is there any way to do ?.

If it doesn't work with default template (Beeze/Protostar) then it is not a template related question but Joomla general.
