How can I have submenu items appear as root items?
When I attempt to set the level to 2 as starting position I end up with the attached.
If it cant be done using the inbuilt menu system what are the module positions to do so using joomla's default menu module?
They are not listed as positions.
This has been my most frustrating template purchase.

I'm afraid I do not understand Your question. If You can rephrase is and tell me the url to Your site than I'll be more than happy to help.
Menu in our templates is an integrated element. We are not using module positions for it, but You simply has to choose which menu to display in template configuration "Menu" section.
