Remove overlay and make height higher n map

on the front page where the map portion is, I'd like to remove the overlay and have it straight to the map with the pin and location pop up box. Also to make the height a bit taller.

Anyway to do so? Thanks.

I'm having an issue where the overlay is over the main menu when I scroll down. I'd rather remove the overlay as well and place a traditional embedded google map in a data column.
