demo preview not showing

Hea Guys. Just a quick issue im having most likely due to my own ignorance as ive not done any web design work since back when joomla was first introduced so im a little rusty.
My situation is im in germany and hosting the website with 1und1 and i speak little german. so navigating there control center is somewhat a challange.

ive managed to install the quickstart files on there servers and get access to the backend and i can see all the demo files but when i try to preview the demo site i get a blank page with this as my web address

not sure why the "defaultsite" is there

is that a simple option that is preset in the demo preferences or is it that my domain address is not pointed to the right location or is it something to do with joomla 3+ that im still ignorant about.
i changed the default template to Beez3 and same thing so this is leading me to believe this a problem with my domain and my Host settings with 1&1.
