Writer Template issues with News Show Pro GK5

Love the new Writer template. It's perfect for a project I'm working on.

I am having some stylesheet issues. I installed it as an additional template on my existing site.

I have imported the JSON for the template and gotten it configured, but I am still having issues with the New Posts module in the Sidebar.

I have loaded the quickstart template into a localhost so that I can compare and see where the issues are and on my main site, the New Posts module doesn't style correctly unless I edit out the style reference to modules/mod_news_pro_gk5/interface/css/style.css using Firebug.

Any ideas how to fix this?

In module settings -> external files please disable use of own css.
