We dont see Server Test Page . It starts with Input Fields for Sitename and Admin and more.
We installed other Sites on this Server with Akeeba and it works fine.

Hi, I have the same problem too with Quickstart Template.

I always have installed your templates in localhost and I never had problem, but maybe after your last update of Joomla 3.3.x on the date 26th september I cant installed your Quickstart Template in my PC localhost.

I test on MAMP in Macintosh and on EasyPHP in windows PC but the same error.

I have:
- Apache 2.4.2
- Mysql 5.5.25
- PHP 5.3.14

Please, can you test in localhost some your QS template?

Hi

I was asked to join this conversation. First thing I've done was to test if template installs for me. And it does, I'm attaching screens.

So I believe problem must be with server settings You have. Please take a look at this article with known installing issues and how to deal with them: https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... -fix-them/

And here an installing instruction for quickstart in case problem is a bad step or something: https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... -joomla-3/

Most common issue reported occurs to be because of enabled error showing option in php.ini, so please start with that.

@teitbite,

thank fo your Answer. Before we send the first mail, we read the docu to install Q-installs. And check all Parameter. I wrote it.

Anyway, i reinstall the QS, check all Parameter of PHP-INI and check the server.

IT DONT WORKS

In my first Thread a tell you that iam missing the "You will find this class in the installation/views/ftp/view.html.php"
It is not in the directory !!!

We download the QS template for joomla 3.3

We are working with this Serverparameter:
Datenbankversion 5.1.73
Datenbankzeichensatz utf8_general_ci
PHP-Version 5.5.12
Webserver Apache
PHP-Interface für den Webserver cgi-fcgi

@teitbite,

here is my Support for you and other User with the same Problem.

Basic: we will run the QS on a PHP5.5 Server !!!
"It is not possible to install the 3.3 and the 2.5 QS directly over the QS installation routine."

My Workflow:

Install the Joomla 2.5QS on our second PHP 5.3 Server ( Or do it on a local mashine)
Install Languages and more
Install Akkeba BAckup on the Domain (or local)
Make a Akeeba complete Backup
Transfer the Backup File to Local ( if the file is on a external webserver)

Build on the Server with PHP5.5 a new Domain and a fresh Database and FTP User
Transfer the Akkeba Backup File into the Domain Folder
Transfer the Akeeba Kickstart (Download over Akeeba Page) into the same Folder
Run Kickstart.php (http://yourservername.xxx/kickstart.php
follow the instructions

After the Process you have installed the Joomla 2.5QS on the php5.5 Server
and you can work !!!

Update the 2.5 joomla to Joomla 3.3 over the Update Process and all is Running very well.

Enjoy
Michael

Hi

Ok, thank You for that, but my PHP version is 5.5.12 as well, so I do not think it is the problem why this could not be installed. I think it may work, because different version may display some errors which other php version will not and if errors are displayed than installation may stop.

Anyway easiest way to change PHP version is by htaccess:

To switch to PHP 4.4:

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php4 .php

To switch to PHP 5.0:

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php

To switch to PHP 5.1:

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php51 .php

To switch to PHP 5.2:

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php52 .php

To switch to PHP 5.3:

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php53 .php

To switch to PHP 5.4:

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php54 .php
