Two major problems

Using the Writer template I have two major problems.
a/ Images are not displayed (except in one case) on front page.
b/ The "Read more link" doesn't link to the full article.

Any immediate ideas before I setup a demo account to the unpublished site?

c/ The right hand column doesn't load the article in the main area of the page.
I've looked at the template settings and as far as I can see they correspond to what I have on my site.

I wish you could edit your posts... maybe I'm missing something.

I've narrowed my problem down to this:
When I open my site the site loads with the "Blogging style" display. It loads the latest item in the main space, and the 5 previous on the right. Clicking on "Read more" on the loaded item doesn't load the whole item. Clicking on any of the 5 items on the right does nothing, the preloaded item remains in the main area of the site.

However

If I switch between layouts to Polaroid, then click on an item it loads the whole item in the main area, and the 5 latest on the right (Blogging style reloaded). NOW I can swap item by clicking on the items on the right.

Very weird ...

This is a problem with menu structure and lack of landing pages for articles. Please read this article to learn how to solve it: https://www.gavick.com/documentation/qu ... s-working/

Thanks for the reply. I might be a bit dense but I found that a bit unclear.
Menu >> [menu name] >> Add New Menu Item

Can I just make up a name, any name or should it be a specific menu?

select Category Blog or Category List and with Choose a category option, select an appropriate category name

Those one can select are Joomla categories not K2 categories - does it matter?
What if the category doesn't exist in Joomla categories should I create it?

Tried copying category structure to Joomla (not K2) but no luck...

Hi

This is how joomla works. If there is no page specified for a category or article in menu than article will open where it was clicked or on homepage. All You need is to have a category type menu item with a category this articles belongs too. This works for every joomla component (almost). It's not possible to have an article without category. Even a category called Uncategorized is still a category :)

I solved this now. I noticed that in the default installation there is a menu item in the main menu, called blog. The Options section of which lists all categories that will be displayed. I added my categories to this list and voila! Working site.

I had deleted most of the original settings, and apparently this as well. I reinstalled and reconfigured during Sweden-Portugal U21 final ... Pure win on both accounts :D
