K2 portfolio grid not working

Hi

Firstly, I am unable to use the quickstart as the site I am working on already contains data, so I am having to install everything myself.

I really like the look of the demo blog section, I guess it needs K2, so I have installed that and imported my articles, I am assuming the menu item needs to be a K2 category with the 'template setting' set to 'Portfolio grid'? However, every time I set this the setting is not saved when the menu item is saved. How can I fix this so the blog is shown as a grid, like the demo?

I'm not sure what You have in mind, but in such cases I always advice to install quickstart in subfolder to have something to compare configuration with.

I am having the same problem. Unfortunately I cannot use quickstart since I am installing the template into a live site using multiple templates.
Everything is fine except I cannot get the project-grid layout. I tried loading the json file but it still doesn't give the layout. How do I get the project-grid layout as in the work>portfolio 2 menu link of the demo?

Just found the answer, it's a K2 setting, go to the right K2 category set the Category Item Layout > item grid > Columns for leading to '2' and it works - or did for me.

Thank You for this answer, yest this is a correct one. I wasn't sure what You were asking for, but as I said before it was a misconfiguration issue and it's always good to have quickstart installed in some other location only to compare settings of template and extensions.
