Hello,

I worked with many templates before. This is one of my sites http://going-natural.com but I am new to this one so I need a little help.
I downloaded the gk_photo and the quickstart but where do I set the background images? Are there any instructions some where?

Thanks.

I guess that you are talking about HomePage images, yes?

Check 4. HEADER

Yes but the link doesn't really answer my questions.

So do I use my own slide show in the header position or does the template come with a slide show?
I installed gk_photo also quickstart but photo_rest didn't work. Is that what I miss?

All GK templates are built to look like in demo using only GK extensions (modules)
that's why if you will use others there will be differences, and I cannot help with it, because it's above support help.

photo_rest didn't work....

Did you unzip "gk_photo_rest_files_J!3.zip" and check what was inside?
And do you remember part when I told you about (4) Header .... there were a module called GK Image Show - which you have to download, install and configure like you have on your QuickStart. It should be quite easy.

Module: https://www.gavick.com/download/joomla- ... /imageshow

have fun

Ok, I figured the image slide show out. Now do I have to install the plugins of the rest_files as well?

What size is recommended for the full screen slide show?

ad 1) it depends if you really needs them all.
In most cases only: plg_gk_typography.zip and plg_gkmodulelinks.zip - will be useful

ad 2) In our demo we used: 1 700px × 886px

Of course it was my mistake. I am here to learn. What does that have to do with helping me?

Probably you have to buy a book(s) about Joomla 3 and about CSS.
Second, using QuickStarts always helps. You can use them on localhost.

Just don't answer my questions if you don't want to but I can ask whatever questions I want. Just so you know you are not much of a help in this case.

Call me a simple customer who knows squat about css, I KNOW joomla, actually since mambo times. I have built plenty of sites with joomla and simple things like the blog layout with 2 columns always worked right out of the box. No K2 or CSS needed.

So excuse me for getting lost here with the need to know CSS.
