To add a login popup to your Quark-based site you’ll need to do two things:

1.Set the login module to the login position
2.Create a menu item which is then linked to the popup – to do this you must set its class to gk-login-popup using the additional parameters plugin for the menu item

What do mean by 1. Set the login module to the login position? I do not have a login module..?

Hi xWiz,

I understand the instruction clearly what I don't get is the #2 Create a menu item which is then linked to the popup.

When you create a Menu Item you have to select an Item Type which was not mentioned. But I guess I got it, I selected User Manager > Login Form as menu item.

Yes it is the user manger > login form.

Can you explain to me how to fix the login module (step 1)? I can't find mine..

It was described in the article - you have to create a menu item with the specific class - type of the menu item is not important, but most important is to set the gk-login-popup class in the Menu Params (GavickPro) tab.

xWiz - please recompile your LESS files (under template settings -> Advanced settings), because there is definitely something wrong with your CSS. Please remember to disable JCH Optimize plugin before it, because in other case you will get a wrong code.

I disabled JCH optimize plugin and turn recompile files on.

It still doesn't work, can you check again my website?

I use the k2 login..

And page pre-loading is off

It seems that you have some problems with permissions at your server (and the template cannot override it) - your template.css file doesn't contain the gk-popup-login CSS code while your gk.stuff.less file contains it. Please try to replace your css/template.restaurant.css file with the attached one.

Did you refreshed your browser cache? Because now there is no CSS styles - probably you wrongly uploaded the file or JCH causes your issues. Please change your hosting, because it looks very strange and I probably won't be able to provide more help.

Hi,

I moved to a new host and started with clean quark. The popup works on default style! But in the restaurant style it is weird.. the login position is at the back of the page. So it does not work. I have send my new url by PM.

Is it also possible to turn the popup on by clicking a button in the header?

Hi guys!

Problem is solved!

My host was really crappy, so i have new one.

But make sure to recompile less file in template settings if you switch from template-style!

Thanks to dziudek for fixing the problem!! :)

But i do have another question. I want to make button in the header to acces a private page. Is it possible to use then a login pop?

Unfortunately it won't be possible without bigger custom work, because when you create a login popup after log in it will redirect user to its profile, not to your private content.

Ok! Maybe a feature for v1.2?

Unfortunately no - it is a task for a joomla plugin, not a joomla template.
