Hi,
setting up a site with Quark. In my main menu, I have links set as "Guest", and one menu link called "Dashboard", which I have set as for "Registered" users only.

After logging in, when I land on the Dashboard-page, the logo and the menu is not shown anymore. I know that the menu is still there, when I am hovering about the place with the mouse, as I can even click on the white page to log out...
So it must be something related to the template?

After clicking on "Dashboard" (available for registered users only):

Hi,
ABout "so it must be something related to the template?"
In general, in template menu is not a real menu module, but built-in template menu , so it might not work with default Joomla ACL.
If you want to have full control about menu behavior you have to replace GK menu with typical module position and there publish a Mega Menu, which give you a freedom.

Second option.... customize gk_quark\layouts\default.php - by adding some php joomla rules.

Hi,

I found out it is not related to the ACL, because it showed the same behaviour while the menu item was set to "Public". I tested it with a short article, where I couldn´t scroll.

The reason is that this specific template doesn´t show the logo & menu while scrolling down, only when scrolling up. The exemption to this sems to be the module position "Header".

Is there a way to make the logo and menu always visible, no matter on which position a menu is published, or where a single article is linked in a menu?

Honestly, I don´t like the dissappearing menu anyway I think this is little bit confusing to the users, and this would have been one of my next questions anyway:

In general, how to make the menu always visible in Quark, also when scrolling down?

Cheers!

This may help:
Code: Select all
#gkHeaderNav.gk-fixed-nav {top: -45px !important}

in particular on the home page or another page where there is a lot of vertical content

Hi,

just found out that this didn´t really solve it - on an article at the top, the logo and menu is not shown, as it is in white like on the frontpage. When you scroll down, then the logo and menu turns to black = shown

You can see an example by clicking on the menu "Dashboard" on my site.

Logo and menu should be black on other pages than the frontpage - how can I do this?

Thanks

Using CSS and Page suffix only for homepage.
Sorry but officially we do not help in customizations.
