Adding Google Structured Data Markup

To provide Google with their preferred structured data markup (information about url, logo, address, email phone number and hours of operation etc.), Google has a markup helper (https://www.google.com/webmasters/markup-helper/u/0/ that provides additional html that can be added to tell google when crawling the site this information that allows it to then provide rich content in the search results from google. My question is how and where to put this information?

Does they tell where should it go ? My guess is that such information should be between <head></head> whih is in /layout/blocks/head.php file, but it should be specified if requirements are different.
