Smart Search position & link drop-down

Hey, team.

I published a Smart Search module on my website and I would like to make the following changes:
1. I want to reposition the module either on the center (right now it is in the mainbody_top position, so it is on the left, under the logo) or on the top right, near the word "Meniu" (if it is possible)
I watched a youtube video on this topic, that suggested to choose a Protostar template position; but I am not sure if this works in the case of Quark template. Please advise.
2. I want to have a dropdown with link suggestions for my search - now what the Smart Search module does is that it sends you to a search page, and you have to scroll a lot to see the search results (if you are not familiar with the template, you might say it displays no results, because they are at the bottom of the page).
If it is possible to rearrange the design on the search page (at least have a phrase saying that you have "x" results to your search, right under the search bar; although I would prefer that the client stays on the category page and is simply sent to the product in the dropdown, not to a whole new page...)

Please let me know if I can help with any more information - same website and credentials as last time.

Best regards, Olivia

Could you please provide me with a URL to your website, either here or via PM (click the “Private Message” text underneath my avatar) so that I may analyze it? It is a lot easier for us to diagnose issues when we have a live site to examine.

Hi

1. Add this to override.css:

Code: Select all
#mod-finder-searchform {
text-align: center;
}

2. I'm afraid I do not have good news about Smart Search. I saw that a dropdown with propositions is not working so I've changed template to default joomla one and problem is same. I think issue may be when this module is used with some 3rd party extension. Have You installed any modules beside the one which came with template?

Hey, teitbite.

1. Thank you!

2. Actually, I have downloaded a Smart Search plugin, with 2 extensions (one for VM products and one for VM categories). But I remember you suggested I do that, in the first thread I opened about the search module. Or maybe I didn't understand correctly?

I unpublished them now - is this any better?

+ one other problem appeared: the shopping cart is now overlapping the word MENIU - maybe because of the transition between the 2 templates?

Awaiting for your reply as soon as possible, thank you!

Hi

2. Those are just extensions on database side, so You can keep it. What I meant was that for some reason Your Smart Search does not have propositions. It doesn't have it also when a default joomla template is used. You need to ask on joomla forum, because I have no idea, but it's not connected with our products. Probably just a missconfiguration.

3. Can You please show me a screenshot of this problem ? I do not understand what You mean.
