"Read more" not showing

I am setting up a site with the Hotel Villa Bellucci template. However "Read more" links are not shown. If I switch to another template the "Read more" links show up so the Joomla settings seem correct.

I have to ask addcional question:
1) You have the latest version of template ?
2) You're asking about Article Category Blog view (with default articles) ?

I do have the latest version of the template. It is not article category blog view, it is just an article that I am trying to feature on the front page. And yes, <hr id="system-readmore" /> is there in the article.

So if you shown article like Single Article view , I'm not sure if read more is even possible.

But there is a way...
set Blog View and set to show only one article so you will get read more , like in my example. easy.
