Hi there Konrad,
Sorry for the late response.
I use Virtuemart.
I have since solved the
Add to Cart
problem by forcing anyone who comes to the site to be directed to smithgeorge.co.uk instead of
https://www.smithgeorge.co.uk, as the problem occured when https was a part of the url address.
It seems that my SSL certificate was causing the problem.
However, I now have another problem - if a customer shops at my website using Google Chrome or Internet Explorer and go to the cart section where they are prompted to login or register, Google and Internet Explorer come up with the following warning messages, telling customers that my site is unsafe: -
Google -
This page has insecure content. Don't load (recommended). Load Anyway
with a yellow triangle next to the https:// followed by a red triangle and red strike through the https:// if the customer clicks
Load Anyway
Internet Explorer -
This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display the nonsecure items?
If you click on the yellow or red triangle next to the https:// in Google Chrome it gives the following information -
Yellow triangle -
The site uses SSL, but Google Chrome has detected insecure content on the page. Be careful if you’re entering sensitive information on this page. Insecure content can provide a loophole for someone to change the look of the page.
Red triangle -
The site uses SSL, but Google Chrome has detected either high-risk insecure content on the page or problems with the site’s certificate. Don’t enter sensitive information on this page. Invalid certificate or other serious https issues could indicate that someone is attempting to tamper with your connection to the site.
Having spoken to the people that issued me with my certificate, I have been told that possibly some images on my site may not be in the secure folder.
What I'd like to know is whether anyone has or knows of a fast way to fix this apart from dragging and dropping all my images into my secure folder.
Has anyone ever come across this problem before and how did you fix it?
Is there a quick way to find the pictures and/or any other unsecure content and is there a fast way to put them in the right place? Or another way to solve the problem?
Please respond a.s.a.p.
Thanks!
Lian
