Hi

I have the coffe template installed version joomla1.5.23 The template has functioned properly for the the last year however during the last few days, the front end of the website has totally disappeared. I have narrowed it down to being a template issue because when I change the default template to JA_Purity, the website on the front end re-appears. Could you please offer any advice or point me in the right direction. This website operates for a business and at the moment there is nothing showing up on the website. No error code, etc. I'm not sure how I can trouble shoot this issue.

Kind Regards

Please check if you have the "errorlog" file on your server - probably you have disabled displaying PHP errors so you have got the blank page on fatal error.

Thanks for your reply.

This template was installed about one year ago and has been working propoerly. I have not changed any paths, etc. So I don't understand why it has suddenly stopped appearing from the front end.

The paths to the log folder in the configuration file are correct and nothing has changed.

With regards to your response, I can't seem to locate an errorlog file. I'm not sure where to find it or where to enable or disable it? Could you please advise? In the 'System Information' section I have found the following but not sure what to do with this information?

error_append_string: no value no value
error_log: no value no value
error_prepend_string: no value no value
error_reporting: 6143

Also when I look at the source code on the front end of the website, the only code that appears is this:

<TemplateUpdateError>

Thanks for your help.

Further to my message below. I have since been able to locate the errorlog files. However I'm not too sure how to read the logs or what to look for. There seems to be many. Would it be possible for you to assist if I give you the ftp details?

I don't know why the content of the index.php file in the template was changed, but I've replaced it with the content of the index.php file from the quickstart package at your server and now your page seems to be working fine.

I'm not sure how or when this file changed. Do you know if it was changed in the last week? Very strange.

Thanks very much for all your help. It's great that the site is back up and running.

Kind regards
