Hi

Pleas check if permissions for files are set to 644 and folders to 755. Try also overwrite the administrator folder, just to be sure it's not because of some issue during upload.

I've got the same issue but with the "meet Gavern" template. My error only happens when I attempt to update my Joomla from 3.2.0 to 3.2.1. It's a fresh install which I've re-installed twice now but still the same error. I also tried overwriting the administrator file as mentioned in this thread but no work.

Hi

0 Cannot open file for writing log

This error probably means that a path to the log file is wrongly configured or permissions to this file are not 644 as requested by joomla. Please check it.

Thank you, my permissions were correct both in the files and folders but I got tired of chasing the problem so I just deleted everything and did a fresh 3.2.1 install then loaded the Meet Gavern template. I was even testing multiple folder and file settings to 777 (just for testing) and nothing seemed to work.

I've got a few other small tweaks I'm chasing but for the most part everything is working clean on the 3.2.1 fresh install.
