Not sure why this is happening however the first links I've made on the site (web.ear-trumpet.net) are not working. The URL changes, but the site remains on the homepage?

This happens on the 'about' that I've put in the main menu. As well as the links to articles I've put in bottom3 News Gallery (simplicity template).

Would really appreciate some advice.

Yes I have seen that article. However I didn't use quickstart install. And I have tried that (added 'portfolio' category blog to main menu) but still not working.

It is not working on the 'about' (in main menu) which is simply a link to a single article.

Seems very very odd that such a simple thing like a menu link should need a workaround. Or am I missing something?

Best, N

Hi

This is not a workaround, but a way joomla works. If there is no landing page than article is being opened where link to it was clicked and if it's homepage than I believe component was disabled in template settings.

Please send me an access to joomla panel.

Is there any more on this cause I've been looking through the documentation and can't find any info on switching any template settings to 'activate' links. https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... on-joomla/

Seems bizarre! I've done quite a few Joomla sites and never had a problem creating menus, links etc, obviously you couldn't make a website without it! But here, (web.ear-trumpet.net) not one link is working. Even just a regular 'mailto' text box link in the middle of the page just arrives back at homepage...

Seriously. What am I missing?

Hi

Ok. I honestly have no idea what is going on with Your site. I have never seen anything like that. As I'm looking at the settings than everything is 100% fine, but what is displaying it not reacting to any settings I'm switching.

- I've disabled 2 menu options, but still all 3 are visible
- I've switch the site to use a default joomla template, but no reaction at all
- I've disabled SEF url but also no change

Please check if You do not have a server cache enabled. This is the only thing I can think of showing such behaviour.

I have been in contact with server provider and they have checked and said there are no issues server side. They also checked the issue of disabling/enabling items and it worked. (Just need clear cache in Joomla admin panel)

However, the links are still redirecting back to homepage.

Do I have configure modules for links to work?

??

Help is really needed as I can't do any work to the site because of this!

Hi

I've very sorry, but I have no idea. Noone has ever reported such problem before. In my opinion there is some kind of redirection which makes it show only a homepage, but I've checked all places this can be done in joomla so I really have no idea. The one thing I can advice is to reinstall joomla, maybe this problem is becuase of a broken file or something. The one thing I know is that it is not related with template, because the same is happening with default joomla template.

Try disable cache also, this is not likely the problem, but always better to work on the site with this off.

I've been reading a lot on Stack Overflow about people having similar issues with htacess.txt file, so I changed that to .htacess, checked the config file and tried some other things only to find a much simpler solution...

I changed 'SEF URLs' to 'off' in the Global Config panel and it worked! The URLs are a bit cack but the site is working.

Really appreciate your time and effort helping out. Dzieki bardzo.

Hi

If it's really about htaccess, than You should check apache configuration about mod_rewrite. Not using SEF is not a solutions nowadays, since Your site will basically be ignored by google.

Hello, it seems, i have the same strange behaviour on my Site.

When i turn on the sef friendly settings in the global configuration, every Menu-link tells the right url, but there is only the mainpage showing. Nothing matters, which link i choose.

Very strange thing.

I use gk-magazine and joomla 3.15.

Can someone help me by this issue.

Yes you have to ask your server provider if mod_rewrite is enabled. Do a search on joomla forum about changing htacess file name and you'll find more info on it.

Hi

Unfortunatelly I do not know what is causing it, but I can tell it's not connected with template since I've had an access to ftp to a site wiht this problem and even after replacing templates issue has not dissapeared. I think it's something server related. Please ask Your host provider for help with this issue. I have a limited knowledge about server administration :(

Hi Teitbite, Happy holidays!

I just recently updated my Virtuemart and Joomla to the latest versions. But now it seems to have affected my template menu. I had it set up to classic.
Screen Shot 2013-12-21 at 12.59.28 AM.png

So when you mouseover the main menu, all other submenu items will branch out rather than float over in a popup. Now it act buggy. Whenever my mouse comes anywhere close to the menu without it hovering over it yet, it will branch out into the submenus. I noticed it does this only on pages where the category side menu appears and not on main page or other page that contain no side menu. It also does it if I mouseover the side menu where the categories are.

Any ideas to what's happening?
I should mention too that when I updated my VM to 2.0.26a, it still said newer version available instead of saying up to date! Don't know if this might be an issue too thats affecting it.

See link. https://vainakache.com/index.php/shop/s ... ear-detail
Thanks,
Mario
