blog layout problem

I have some problems with K2 and want to joomla core instead. However, when configure 2 columns (or more columns) in blog layout in menu manager, it always show one column. How can I solve this problem. is removing K2 a solution?

we solved that problem. solution is below:

"Please go to templates/gk_twn2/html/com_content/ and remove the file for blog layout. Template's style do not use this functionality. This way You'll gonna use joomla file."

however, we have another problem now: as you will see here http://www.gulennews.com/index.php/interviews , this template is using original size images in category blog layout listing. I just want smaller image without any image caption. also font size is too big but it is easy to change.

If the image contains caption, Jooml! automatically generate this text block, the image size and text you can easily change in CSS but please post any draft with effect that you desire.
