For the sake of clarity, the issue I have is the same as the one discussed in this thread from
several months ago:

In that thread, the ultimate conclusion was:
"News Show Pro GK4 needs some adjustments to work properly on IckiSports Template. For now please use News Show Pro GK1 on your website and expect news from us."
Ideally, for my needs, either News Show Pro GK4 needs to be updated to work with ICKI Sports or GK1 needs to work with K2. Since the forum post implies an update can be expected, I assumed it was actually being addressed and purchased access to ICKI.
The secondary point is that my request was posted for 3 weeks without so much as a cursory reply from Support. I really DO try to figure out solutions to issues before posting them here and it is frustrating that the 3 I have posted to date have been handled the same way.
It is not realistic or reasonable for Gavick to expect that I put a client's project on hold for such a long time and/or now take a live site and open it to publicly viewable troubleshooting. This is especially true since it has already been determined that the issue is related to ICKI and GK4 not working together "out of the box".
Gavick could simply install GK4 on the demo site used for sales and troubleshoot from there. Of course, that is no more reasonable a request than it is to ask me to open up my client's live site.
