Hi,

Can there be made some option that when you check "use override" in the template it automatically generates a override.css file?
With this option it should not be necessarily to add the override.css in newly downloaded template.

Again I forgot to save the override.css before override and merge the complete template folder for a update.... :(

Best regards,
Ocean

override.css is part of every template, it is only disabled in template settings (because most users don't need it).
I'm not quite sure where is the problem, could you please be more specific?

When updating the template the override.css is also a fresh new one. Its empty again.
And I forgot to backup the override.css file

Then there is nothing you can do. We always suggest to backup everything before doing any backups.
You might ask your hosting company support, perhaps they do automatic backup.

Thanks for your advice.

But what about the option to make the config panel od the template more sophisticated! Some ideas:
- update button in the config panel
- no override.css file in the core download file of the template
- when override is checked it wil make a override.css when not excited
- add a theme override folder with css, layout and images.

Hopefully more users like this idea that the override.css can not be affected when uploading the template files.
I can not imagine that I 'm the only one.....

Probably you might be the only one.
Current implementation of override.css is made mostly for beginning users, which actually have problems with enabling css.override if they are not told to. Adding additional will make the process even more complicated.
Also some users block their template folder from writing (security purpose). I'm not even sure if it is even possible to write anything to template folder.

So as long as your ideas is brilliant, it might cause more troubles than props.

Ok. The idea is with one of next releases to do some changes. override.css will not longer be part of template. User will either have to create it on his own, or rename other file (sample one). Template will also detect if file exist to include it in source code.
