Hi

I've checked Your site with YSlow and it only shows the slow loading for my first visit. The problem listed on cases was:

Grade F on Make fewer HTTP requests

So it's not connected with the template. But You can try to play with cache settings.

EDIT: One more thing from the speed test:

Code: Select all
This page has 9 external Javascript scripts. Try combining them into one.
This page has 13 external stylesheets. Try combining them into one.

Well it looks like you also have server issues (high server load probably)

I also have this problem. But confused on your reply. As YSlow is reporting to many javascript requests (and css), but those requests are being made by all of your modules, Slideshow, New Show, Newshow Pro, etc. So this would be a Gavick issue would it not? I would think their would be an easy option of loading all needed gavick js files into one js file (at the bottom of the template) as of course everyone knows they should never go at the top since then they must fully load before the rest of the page can. Thanks in advance.

Hi

It's like You said. CSS and JS should be reduced to a few files only. In Gavick templates You have css for modules in gk_stuff.css and js is in one file for all GK modules. Very similar is with the template.
