Equalizing display length of intro articles blog

I have a couple of intro articles in a blog layout, two columns. One has two lines, and Read More, the other one line and Read More.

As a result, the headlines of the next articles down are visibly out of alignment.

Is there any way to fix this, other than manipulating the content of the articles?

This turned out to have a lucky solution in my case. When I removed the inline font styles that the prior designer had used, the two articles are both two lines, so come out even. I wonder whether there's a more general purpose way, though...
