Module positions

Hi,

Having purchased Corporate 2 template a while ago, and recently installed the latest verion (2.5 version) we are keen to have our website comlete and looking as good as the demo.
Our problem, the News Pro GK 4 modules in the "top1-4" positions are not looking like they should (like the demo). It seems to show only the last 2 positions (top 3 and 4) and it stretches these positions to fit the allocated area.
Can you please advise? is this a problem that can be easily resolved from my end, or do we need to commission you to fix it?

We have setup a temporary "under construction" html page by the root folder so that we can work on this template in the meantime

Did you publish modules in same positions as on demo page ?

I was following the notes we initially received when we installed the Joomla1.5 version... Instruction manual April 2010? We have upgraded Joomla and template to 2.5. Is there an updated version perhaps? Where would I see how the demo pages have been set up?

Well only way to check it is install somewhere our quickstart package. It contains all modules and settings as same as our demo.

ok, will give it go but could you please clarify something for me:

should we have installed "quickstart for J!2.5" instead of the "template for J!2.5" ? would NEWS SHOW PRO modules not work on the 'template version' ? Because everything else seems to work perfectly well except for when I wanted to use the TOP positions with the News Show modules (as per demo) just doesn't work...

Well you have to remember that you cant't install quickstart using joomla installer. Becasue quickstart have joomla instalation inside. I advise install it on localhost on your computer. Here you have instructions how install quickstart https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... oomla-1-6/

I just have one more question, why would the NEWS SHOW PRO work on the quickstart version and not on the normal template installation? surely this module should work and display appropriately on both - as it's a vital feature of this particular template? Whether or not I set up the modules as per demo site, it should still function?

My apologies, I do think the News module works but just not in the "top" positions as I'm trying to get our template to look like the demo. I have installed the template version 2.5 not the quickstart version which you mentioned is setup like the demo. Is this where the problem is? should I have installed the quickstart version instead? why would that make a difference? I only ask because you mentioned it earlier.

When I use the News Show Pro in "top" positions nothing gets displayed on the website. Do you think installing the quickstart version will resolve this? Maybe some documentation on how to set up the news modules to look like the demo might help?

Yes you can try install quickstart. Should resolve this issue.
