how do I get a blog layout

I am using the quickstart, and I am having trouble with the blog articles. I chose the category blog in the menu item, and picked the category to show, but the articles are not showing. PM if you want to see admin.

Are you sure that you have selected category that contains some articles ? (I know that this question may be stupid but you can always check it twice), secondly please enable mainbody part in template settings (first tab) if now the option is set to 'component'

It is true that although I have many years experience with Joomla and Gavick templates from my client accounts I've not done an upgrade to 2.5 with one of your templates before. Yeah, I checked this again, and I'm sure. I even changed the category in the articles and put the new category on the blog menu item again, and its still not showing up.
