New user - need help to upload to Joomla

Hi,

Just decided that Corporate 2 will be the basis of a new website.... but having problems uploading it to Joomla.

Joomla v 2.5.4.

When I use the Extension Manager Upload/Install to install the zip file I get ' Unable to Open Archive' report.

In the Warnings section I have - 'The PHP temporary directory is the directory that PHP uses to store an uploaded file before Joomla! can access this file. Whilst the directory not being set isn't always a problem, if you are having issues with manifest files not being detected or uploaded files not being detected, setting this in your php.ini file might fix the issue.'

HOWEVER.... I have come across this with other templates, but have also been able to upload other templates with no problem: My host assures me that there is no problem with the set up their end, and the Upload Max size of file is 8Mb so that shouldnt be a problem...

Can someone help me with whatever is preventing me getting going on this please?

Revise request... I can see the zip folder in the tmp folder on the server... so its uploaded ok... Its just the installation that isnt working????

I have tried installing from URL but got the same 'Cannot open archive' message

The missing information - PHP 5.2.6 MySQL - 5.0.87
