Breadcrumb font not in middle in Internet Explorer 9

When I unpublish the highlighter module the font in the breadcrumb is not in the vertical middle in Internet Explorer 9. See image. Also the white space between the banner and breadcrumb disappears.

In my page it is even a bit more to the top. I would like to have it in the vertical middle. I cannot find a command for the IE9 only - in chrome, firefox etc. it works fine. Any idea?

please go to ie9.css and paste this code at the bottom after last selector:
